The tour to the Estonian Army Battalion

We took about  half an hour walk to visit Estonian Army Battalion. During the walk we practised how to move together in the street and reminded the most important rules how to cross the street. In the battalion we watched soldiers practising how to march and sing patriotic songs.

Then our tour guide showed us the cars they are using in army and let us to go inside those cars. They are using those cars to go to the forest to learn how to protect our country against enemies.

The children were very exited because they made acquaintance of the new soldiers in this army. And they saw them practising how to hold a gun and how to clean the parts of the gun after shooting. The new soldiers were very exited too because this was the first time to them to hold a gun and they felt themselves like children who are the first day in the kindergarten. They also introduced us what the soldiers ware in the forest. It is very difficult to them to be in forest on a rainy day. There isn`t any place where they can dry their wet clothes.

Their equipment is very heavy to carry on and there is a certain place for each thing in their bags what they have to carry in the forest. There are many things that belongs to their equipment- raincoat, sleepingbag and the most important thing- a bottle with water. They got very thirsty after the heavy training.
At the end of our tour they gave us some water to drink and then we came back to the kindergarten.
