Fruits

One day we talked with children about fruits. We observed the shape, colour and taste of plums, pears, apples and cherries. We counted how many seeds are in apple and how many stones are in cherry and plum. I asked children to order the cups filled in juice. They must begin with the cup witch was less filled. During the activity we were learning to use words „more“ and „less“.

And then we observed what colour  the juices were and smelled, tasted the juices  with both eyes shut. We were trying  to guess what sort of juice we tasted.

At the end of activity we played game called: “Fruits“ . The teacher whispers one name of a fruit to each child and then the teacher  begins to call out the names of the fruits. For example: teacher calls out pears and all the children who were given the name of a pear must swop places with other pears.
